Private keys are randomly generated hundred-digit numbers, which makes them hard to use and remember. To make it more simple and user-friendly, many non-custodial wallets often encode the private key into a mnemonic phrase. Mnemonic seed phrases are easy to use and remember as they are 12, 18, or 24-word phrase which can be used as an alternative method to access or recover a wallet.
